Our Founder
Ms. Fatima Ramji personally understood the important role effective writing and public speaking played in an individual’s career. As a former Human Resources Director, she spent nearly 15 years hiring, training and advising senior managers and executives in companies such as CIBC, BMO Nesbitt Burns, and in the healthcare industry. Ms. Ramji knew technical competencies were not always enough to secure management and leadership positions. Therefore, in 2011, she started looking for writing and public speaking programs for her own children. Disappointed with what was available, Ms. Ramji started researching and developing a curriculum which would later become Write on Q. This work was a labour of love for her own children as she wanted them to develop strong language and presentation skills.
Upon receiving her degree in Business & Political Science from McMaster University, Ms. Ramji joined the financial services industry and subsequently completed her Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation. She spent almost 13 years in various senior human resource management positions at CIBC and BMO before taking time off to raise her own son and daughter.

Write On Q is one of the best language programs out there. It has helped my daughter progress greatly. As a public school teacher, I understand the challenges of teaching a classroom of diverse learners writing skills beyond that of the “hamburger paragraph”. There are gaps in education where students do not learn the basic structures of writing. The result is students find writing a painful process, with poor outcomes and a stunted development of expression. Write on Q fixes this! Among other things, the program involves both the writing and editing processes and students receive meaningful FEEDBACK that guides their learning. Understanding the structure of how to write gives students the ability to develop their own style and voice, facilitates critical thinking but more importantly allows students to express themselves with accuracy and precision.
Write on Q is an excellent program. My daughter (currently in Grade 6) has completed two years of the program and it has helped with her writing and her public speaking skills. She excels in Language Arts at school and this program has helped her do that. She is more confident in preparing and organizing her written output and identifying the most important information she wants to relay, whether verbally or through expressive writing. I highly recommend this program.
