After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English and a Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Toronto, Ms. Stevens followed in her mother’s footsteps and became a teacher. She taught English and French at the secondary level with the Peel District School Board for 30 years. Later in her career, she contributed to literacy in her school by working as a teacher librarian. Retired from full-time work in 2019, Ms. Stevens continues to engage with students as an Occasional Teacher. She is excited to share her experience, enthusiasm for learning, and love of writing with her classes.
